EN - Good, bad or lucky.

You have something to say. "I guess I am struggling with my resistance to wake up, I'm in trouble with understanding. I guess I never thought of self interest in the way you're pretending it was in a self of bad thing…" Hey, "bad" comes from you, I didn't say it's bad, I said it's self interest. You added "bad." "Because selfishness to me it seems like it comes out of a part of an instinct of self-preservation, which is I think our deepest and first. So that How could we (...) opt for selflessness? It would be almost like opting for nonbeing." Wonderful. You're just saying we cannot be selfless, are you saying that? "Well, to me, it would seem like being the same thing as asking for nonbeing." Whatever it is, look all I'm saying is : stop feeling bad; we're all the same. That's wonderful. Somebody had a terrible thing, a terribly beautiful thing to say about Jesus, though I promised I wouldn't get into that but it's too attempting to get into it, yeah, yeah, it's very attempting. He said, he said the lovely thing about Jesus - and this guy wasn't an official Christian - he said, "The lovely thing about Jesus was that he was so much at home with sinners, because he understood that he wasn't one bit better than they were." We differ from others-from criminals, only in what we do or what we don't do, but not in what we are. The only difference between Jesus, I assume, and those sinners was that he was awake, they weren't. You want a glory in that? Look at me, I won the lottery! "I'm so proud to accept this prize, it's really a prize for not for me, but for my nation and my society." Does anybody talk like this when he wins the lottery? He was lucky, he was lucky. He won the lottery, first prize. Anything to be proud of in that? I woke up, I got enlightened. And you gradually learn there is nothing you could do. Was your good luck, good fortune. And if you did anything towards being enlightened. Now listen to this almost everyone of you really wants to wake up. In the interest of whom? "Ourselves." Aha, Want a glory in that? (…) I really worked for myself. What's there to glory about? Can't you see how utterly stupid it is to be vain about your good deeds? The Pharisee isn't an evil man, he is a stupid man. He is stupid, he is not evil. He is stupid. He didn't stop to think. Somebody has said, "I dare not stop to think, because if I did, I wouldn't know how to get started again."

IT - Buoni, cattivi o fortunati.

C'è qualcuno che vuole dire qualcosa. "Sto lottando contro le mie resistenze per svegliarmi; non riesco a capire bene. Io non avevo mai pensato ad un interesse egoistico nel modo in cui lei lo sta descrivendo come una cosa cattiva…" Hey, la parola "cattiva" io non l'ho detta. Ho detto egoismo. Lei ha aggiunto il "cattivo". "A me sembra che l'egoismo nasca da una sorta d'istinto di conservazione, che è il nostro istinto primario e più profondo. Come possiamo scegliere la mancanza di egoismo? Sarebbe quasi come optare per il non essere." Fantastico. Lei ha appena detto che non possiamo non essere egoisti, giusto? "Mi sembra che sarebbe come pretendere di non essere." Ma, qualsiasi cosa sia, io dico: smettete di sentirvi in colpa, siamo tutti uguali. E' meraviglioso. Una volta, una persona ha detto una cosa terribilmente bella su Gesù, e sebbene io vi abbia promesso di non parlarne sono troppo tentato dal farlo, si, si, mi tenta proprio. Lui disse questa cosa bellissima su Gesù - e non era nemmeno cristiano -, disse: "La cosa bella di Gesù è che si trovava a suo agio con i peccatori, perché capiva che non era migliore di loro in niente" Ci differenziamo dagli altri - dai criminali, - solo per quel che facciamo o non facciamo, non per quel che siamo. Credo che l'unica differenza tra Gesù e quei peccatori era che lui era sveglio e loro no. Volete della gloria in questo? Guardatemi, ho vinto alla lotteria! "Sono molto orgoglioso di accettare questo premio, non per me, ma per la mia nazione e la mia società." Parlano forse così quelli che vincono alla lotteria? No, perché ha avuto fortuna, fortuna. Ha vinto il primo premio della lotteria. C'è forse da essere orgogliosi di una cosa del genere? Mi sono svegliato, ho avuto l'illuminazione. E imparate pian piano che non c'è niente che potevate fare. Siete stati fortunati. E se faceste qualcosa per arrivare all'illuminazione… Ora, ascoltate: praticamente ognuno di voi vuole veramente svegliarsi. Nell'interesse di chi? "Noi stessi." Aha, volete la gloria per questo? Non capite quanto è stupido vantarsi delle proprie buone azioni? Il Fariseo non era un uomo malvagio, era solo stupido. Era stupido, non malvagio. Stupido. Non si fermava a pensare. Una volta qualcuno ha detto: "Non ho il coraggio di fermarmi a pensare, perché se lo facessi non saprei come ricominciare"
